Matchy FAQ-Ey
The Matchyverse™ is a universe of derpy and wholesome fun. While sharing it with others, we have run into some common inquiries that we thought we would address and clarify just to make information much more accessible.
Here are some common inquiries that have come our way, we will continue to update them as they come along:
- What is the difference between the Matchyverse™ games, which one should I start with?
All Matchyverse™ games exist in the same universe of derp. Meaning, each game will be different from each other, yet within the same umbrella of cuteness. Matchy will be part of puzzle games, match 3 games, tamagotchi-like games and many more to come.
Right now we only have publicly available MatchyGotchy™, then there’s MatchyGotchy Z™, and there’s also Matchy Star™. There are plenty more Matchy games coming not yet up on Steam.
MatchyGotchy™ is what we consider the doorway to the Matchyverse™, since it is 100% free and it gives you a taste of what we can do with our characters and the kind of easy to enjoy relaxing fun we want to make. Check it out here: http://matchygotchy.com
- What about making/porting Matchy games on mobile?
All our Matchy games are designed for desktop gaming. To revisit the platform means design and production we cant tackle financially. This is why we haven’t been able to port Matchy games to consoles, it requires both time and money we do not have. It is no different for mobile games.
We love mobile and console games, and hopefully Silverware Games™ grows to be strong enough to take on multi-platform launches every time we publish a new game, but right now we are a few people doing what we can: we can’t afford to do that.
- What about making [some other game concept] with the Matchy characters?
We want to make a whole universe of games with Matchy and friends but we needed to start somewhere. The MatchyGotchy™ tama style game seemed like the best way to get people interacting with the Matchyverse™ and learning a bit more about the characters and locations and other lore associated with our fun, colorful, spacy, universe.
We love suggestions of course, so if you have an idea for a concept using Matchy we’d love to hear your pitch, just know if we make it someday all we can offer in return is sincere thanks.
- You should make friends with / have you heard of [very famous / important person]?
Silverware Games™ is a small independent studio, and we do thrive to connect and meet all sorts of cool people in the gaming industry. Chances are we have heard of and reached out to many people and outlets already, perhaps with no luck.
If you do happen to know someone who might be interested in our games then you are welcome to suggest our content to anyone you know of: from journalists, to streamers, to your doggo! Community inquiries often can go a long way, more so than random dorky devs.
- Who is your audience?
You can be!
Did you ever watch Saturday morning cartoons? Do you enjoy casual games? We aim to find our tribe and we keep our doors open to all the cool kids at heart (and actual kids, why the heck not!). We just look for people who want to reconnect with an idea of fun that will provide for wholesome cutes with low stress casual relaxing game time, fans of clickers, virtual pets, and well polished puzzles.
Everything we do will be aimed at that goal. We want to make games we can enjoy, and even our kid’s can enjoy with us too. Family friendly, colorful, silly, and serving fun with anyone interested in this universe of fun.
